While the game might be locked at 60 FPS, I still like to see my FPS at all times. If you are someone like me, continue reading and find out how we can display an FPS counter in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring is one of the most anticipated titles of this year. The game is developed in collaboration with game companies Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware. It is a newly designed open-world action fantasy action RPG game featuring high-quality graphics, co-op, bonfires, jumping and fighting on horseback and a lot more.

The game was initially hinted at in February 2019 by Hidetaka Miyazaki, the creator of and director at the game development studio FromSoftware. Players have high hopes for this title because this game is developed by the same guys who created Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne. The modding community is also really active for both of these titles, which opens up a lot of avenues for this game.

Enough about the game, let’s find out how we can show our FPS in Elden Ring.

  • Launch Geforce Experience
  • Click on your profile icon located on the top-right and select “Account”
  • From the menu located on the right, click “General”
  • Locate In-Game overlay and click “Settings” as shown below:

Settings Geforce In Game Overlay

  • A new window will open up, from here select HUD Layout
  • From this window, you can configure your HUD Layout. Click on Performance > FPS and select the counter position as shown in the screenshot below.

You have successfully enabled the counter using Geforce Experience.

The game’s launch hasn’t been great so far, there have been multiple issues and performance-related problems. This should be fixed in no time, given the history of FromSoftware.
